When Mac Met Cheese

April 03, 2014

We were already huge fans of When Mac Met Cheese from the pop up circuit but now they’ve found a home for 3 months, we couldn’t resist making the trip to Bayswater to see what they had to offer.

Yes, that's right, the first mac and cheese (and cocktail!) restaurant in London has opened its doors…

They’re serving up all the classics that we have come to love, along with a whole host of interesting new additions. The ex sous chef at the Ivy has joined them as head chef which means our favourite mac and cheese has reached new heights.

And better yet, they’ve managed to get a late licence to serve alcohol so using the same ethos as their food, the cocktail menu will be small but with each drink taken very seriously and using only the best ingredients. On the menu are well thought out Martinis, a gin and tonic made properly, and even a Bloody Mary that actually tastes bloody good! There are beers too of course - sourced from the very place we call home.

So if you’re in the area (or not), it’s definitely worth a visit but just make sure to arrive hungry.
