One of our favourite East London hair salons has opened a 10-week pop up bar, just down the road.

Bleach is a stalwart hair salon in Dalston, owned by dye addicts Alex Brownsell and Sam Teasdale, and specialises in (no prizes for guessing) bleaching, dyeing and colouring. It’s not just a salon though, it’s also a great place to hang out and Alex and Sam have embraced this and capitalised on it, opening a pop up bar a few doors down from the salon.

Serving cocktails, and food from TART, the girls enlisted set designer David White (who’s worked with Acne, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton and us, no less) to design the space. He describes it as a, “Blade Runner-esque, psychedelic acid trip with a nod to Enter the Void’s Asian clubbing and city visuals.”

Bleach Bar is open until mid October so is the perfect place to mourn the summer and welcome in the autumn. Serving drinks including Abba Synth, Wonky Direction and Slushino, we’ll definitely be heading there tomorrow night.
